    Exceptional

The traditional atmosphere , the views out over the loch , first class breakfast and the excellent rooms and welcoming nature of the owners. The log fire was a nice touch.

Lovely big house but heating struggled a bit with the cold weather

    Exceptional

Staff were super. The communal lounge was so comfortable and welcoming and with a roaring log fire and more whiskies than you can imagine, you could happily spend all evening there. The breakfast was first class. They had a very large selection of DVD's, books and games to borrow. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Suite, which had an outstanding bathroom the size of my house!!

We loved everything. If I had one comment it would be that the provision of meals in the evening would be most welcome in light of how good the breakfast was.

    Superb

The staff couldn't do enough to be helpful and we had a great nights sleep.

If i had to fault something it would be the shower water pressure but i had a lovely hot bath instead.

    Fabulous

I like that it is a family run Lodge and the fact that you really care about the comfort and happiness of your guests is very evident.

The only thing that could be improved was the bed in our room, it really had seen better days and wasn't particularly comfortable.

The room we had was large, comfortable and had a beautiful view acroos the Loch. The Lodge had so much character and charm. The family who ran the business were hospitable in every way and just so friendly and accommodating

    Superb

Charming Victorian hotel - it was a place filled with character. The main lounge (with a whiskey bar, which is now for cash) was large, old-fashioned, and empty during a full-house. The breakfast was large, fast, and filled with many hot and cold choices, the latter being self-serve.

The twin room was rather small.

    Very good

The location was good and the staff were friendly.

I was surprised this was rated as a 4*. The room was adequate but not large. The windows were drafty and the frames were covered with mould. The shower was very poor without proper heat control. There was no restaurant for evening meals.

    Very good

Very friendly welcome and care during stay. Helpful information and delicious breakfasts with pleasant service.

The option for dinner, especially on arrival. The mile walk was invigorating though.

No evening meal at the hotel. However they do give discount vouchers for meals at a hotel one mile away.
